Mechanically removing small plugs of soil allows for easier penetration of air, water and nutrients. This service comes highly recommended on an annual basis. We feel that the Spring is the best time to aerate your lawn.

Overseeding is the practice of broadcast spreading approximately 2 - 3 pounds of grass seed per 1000 square feet, over the entire lawn. This will promote new growth and fill in any bare patches before weeds do. Overseeding can be done Spring or Fall. We use an endophyte enhanced seed blend which is naturally insect resistant.

Slit seeding a lawn provides many benefits. Our mechanical slit seeder slices through thatch and drops seed directly into the slices. This process dethatches the lawn, root prunes the grass and places the seed in direct soil contact for a much higher percentage of seed germination than regular over-seeding. We will also custom blend your seed for maximum results. We have extreme shade blends, drought resistant, hardy blends that include white clover, and our highly recommended, most popular blend that contains a high content of endophyte enhanced seed that actually repels chinchbugs! Slit seeding is the most cost effective method for re-establishing a thin or weak lawn, or establishing more suitable or pest resistant cultivars of grass.

Includes dethatching, raking and removal of any excess thatch, seeding, and we'll even clean your walkway, patio and driveway before we leave!

A healthy lawn starts with healthy soil!

Our natural fertilizer builds healthy nutrient rich soil, which in turn gives you a naturally weed and insect resistant lawn. Our fertilizers are made from a rich blend of alfalfa, molasses, humate, and sulfate of potash. As with all our products, they are safe around children and pets. Environmentally friendly. Non-polluting of our surface and ground waters. When further enriched in our exclusive blend with Corn Gluten this potent fertilizer provides exceptional results and helps to minimize the withdrawl effects that happen when your lawn is taken off chemicals.

We recommend a minimum of two applications per season.

Beneficial nematodes are microscopic! They are naturally occurring and completely harmless to people, pets, birds, earthworms, etc. They live in the soil under the surface and kill over 250 different pest insects, including the white grub. They can only infect an insect in the larva or grub state and can be very effective at controlling Japanese beetles, armyworms, cutworms, chafer beetles, sod webworms, onion root maggot and many more.

Our experience shows nematodes are the best control, when applied properly!

Organic gardeners sing the praises of applying compost. Applying compost to your lawn feeds micro-organisms and increases organic matter content (OM), thereby increasing the water holding capacity and drought tolerance, while suppressing potential fungus and disease problems. Recommended from at 40 lbs to 100lbs/ 1000 square feet, this highest quality, 100% plant-based compost will be a benefit to any lawn!

Don't be fooled by so called 'top dressing' services that use composted animal manures, our products contain no animal by-products, no manures, no synthetic chemicals, and no sewage sludge...ever!

Lawn tip: Aeration and slit seeding, or overseeding is recommended prior to this service for best results!
